Platform QA Architect

Client Description:

We are seeking a talented and experienced Platform QA Architect to lead our Quality Assurance efforts for our hybrid cloud platform services. This role will involve ensuring comprehensive test coverage of our products and services, which include our Kubernetes Service, Resource Management Service, Service Lifecycle Management Service, Identity and Access Management Service, and various Data services such as PostgreSQL, Kafka, and TimescaleDB.

Responsibilities:

• Test Strategy Development: Define and implement the test strategy, ensuring alignment with product requirements and objectives.
• Technical Collaboration: Work closely with Platform and Product Line architects to optimize testing approaches for functional and non-functional requirements.
• Requirements Analysis: Analyze requirements and dependencies for Kubernetes as a service, Data services, DevOps tools, IAM services, and observability capabilities.
• Test Automation Framework: Design, build, and support the implementation of test automation frameworks to enhance testing efficiency.
• Team Collaboration: Collaborate with Product Line QA teams to implement effective test automation strategies across different testing levels.
• Documentation: Create and maintain clear and comprehensive test documentation for stakeholders.
• Mentorship: Mentor junior QA engineers, establishing best practices and fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the team.

Candidate Profile:

• In-Depth Knowledge of Kubernetes: Strong understanding of containerization and orchestration using Kubernetes.
• Multi-Cloud Experience: Proficiency with multi-cloud platforms and cloud-native testing methodologies.
• Data Technologies: Experience in testing and validating data pipelines, databases (SQL/NoSQL), and data streaming technologies (e.g., Kafka).
• Test Automation Frameworks: Proven experience in building test automation frameworks, particularly using pytest.
• REST API Testing: Proficiency in testing REST APIs.
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical abilities for troubleshooting complex cloud-native issues.
• Scalable Test Strategies: Ability to design scalable testing strategies for cloud-native and containerized applications, ensuring high availability, performance, and security.
• Collaboration Skills: Experience in working closely with DevOps, development, and product teams.
• Team Leadership: Experience in leading QA teams and mentoring junior engineers.
• Customer Focus: Understanding customer requirements and aligning testing strategies with their use cases.
• Fluent English: Proficiency in both spoken and written English (C1 level preferred).

Nice to have:

• Familiarity with TestRail and other testing tools.
• Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
• Background in infrastructure platform projects.
