Client Description:
A global leader in pharmaceuticals and diagnostics is looking for a Scrum Master to join project focused on expanding global and local pre-approval patient access to innovative medicines
Responsibilities:
Facilitating Scrum/Team Events:
- Plan, organize, and facilitate all Scrum events such as Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives to ensure smooth operation and high participation.
- Ensure all team events are efficient, focused, and lead to productive outcomes that support the team's progress.
SAFe-Specific Responsibilities:
- Prepare for PI Planning: Assist the team in drafting a PI (Program Increment) plan and identify risks, dependencies, and issues relevant to the Agile Release Train (ART).
- Support PI Planning: Collaborate with other Scrum Masters, Team Coaches, and the Release Train Engineer (RTE) to ensure successful execution of PI planning events and align teams on objectives.
- Support ART Delivery: Work within the ART cadence to coordinate cross-team dependencies and deliver value continuously in line with program objectives.
Coaching and Guiding the Scrum Team:
- Coach and mentor the Scrum team on Agile practices and Scrum principles, helping them adopt self-organization, cross-functionality, and Agile mindset.
- Support the team in developing and enforcing lightweight Agile rules, such as Built-In Quality practices from Extreme Programming (XP), Work in Progress (WIP) limits from Kanban, and other team-agreed processes.
- Promote the delivery of high-quality work by ensuring the team consistently meets the Definition of Done (DoD).
Candidate Profile:
- Scrum Master Certification (e.g., SAFe 5 Scrum Master, PSM I, Agile PM, or equivalent).
- Proven experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Coach in a SAFe or scaled Agile environment.
- 5+ years of experience in software development or IT project management, with at least 3+ years of experience managing or coordinating Agile teams.
- Strong knowledge of Agile tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence) and techniques for tracking and reporting team progress.
- Demonstrated ability to facilitate Agile ceremonies, coach teams, and promote continuous improvement.
- Fluent in English, with proficiency at C1 level or higher.
Nice to have:
- Experience working in pharmaceutical, healthcare, or other highly regulated industries is a plus.
- Familiarity with Extreme Programming (XP) practices, Kanban, and built-in quality techniques.
- Understanding of project management principles and experience leading medium to large projects in a global, multicultural environment.
